Officials and residents of Billionaire City are reporting an unexpected surge in the number of stray cats wandering throughout the boroughs. The animals have become a common sight in neighbourhoods, markets, parks, and even atop the city's tallest buildings.

City workers say the increase began several weeks ago and has continued steadily. While the exact cause remains unclear, many believe the city's growing population and expanding residential districts have created ideal conditions for the cats to thrive.

"The cats are everywhere," said local NPC Patrick Questmeyer . "You'll see them sleeping on rooftops in the morning and exploring the streets by sunset. They've become part of the city's identity."

To help care for the growing feline population, the Billionaire City Animal Care Center has launched a new adoption program. Residents can officially adopt a stray cat for $90,000, with the fee helping to fund shelters, veterinary care, and city programs that support the remaining stray cats. Officials say the adoption includes ownership papers, a collar, and a starter supply of fish.

During my short visit to the cat shelter I ran into a few feline friends, rummaging through bins and the like. Here is one of the cute kitties I saw.

Many residents have embraced the newcomers, noting that cats help keep creepers at a distance and discourage phantoms from approaching populated areas. Security officials say the animals have become an unexpected but valuable part of the city's passive defence.

"The Stray cat population is under control" said a spokesperson for the Billionaire City Administration team. They also referred to the growing stray cat population as "pests," arguing that the increasing numbers have become difficult to manage. Despite the criticism, many residents disagree, insisting the cats are a beloved part of Billionaire City's charm.

While some players have questioned the $90,000 adoption fee, city officials argue that the price reflects the prestige of owning one of Billionaire City's famous stray cats while ensuring the city's animal care program remains fully funded.

Visitors continue to stop and admire the colourful cats lounging beside fountains, markets, and luxury homes. Many say the animals have become one of the city's most recognisable attractions.

For now, the cats continue to roam freely through Billionaire City, charming residents and visitors alike. Whether they remain strays or find a new home through the adoption program, the city's feline population appears set to remain a beloved part of daily life.
